Toddler Stalling Techniques

The Jam-eater is a stalling more than a knackered Ford Fiesta tonight.

I write this brief post as I sit on the stairs waiting for her to nod off.  I have fixed the blanket, wiped bogeys which arent even there and given her the teddy she requires to sleep.  I have even caught her slagging me off to her other toys for the second night in a row, but thats another post for another day.

Have a great weekend, here is a brief pie chart of Flo’s preffered stalling techniques to date.

  1. I hate to tell you this but it does not appear to end until they reach their teens and want to scurry away to a bedroom with a closed door. With my kids, it often starts with being thirsty and needing to get out of bed for a drink and then they just grab at any old excuse from there. The “best” was when they invented a poltergeist as an imaginary game but then claimed they could not sleep because they were scared of the poltergeist.
